DTT brings testing automation to a new level,
guaranteeing higher quality with fewer test cases. Traditionally,
"test automation" has meant the automatic execution of test
scripts. The truly critical and time consuming steps necessary
to design test cases, publish test specifications and code
scripts for automated execution have remained manual, largely
ad hoc efforts. Test effectiveness thus varies with the time
and resources allocated to these labor-intensive efforts.
DTT changes this. Test cases are designed
automatically from graphical models using sophisticated testing
algorithms. All test specifications and documentation are
generated directly from the test case design (including test
data specifications). The detailed test case design then feeds
directly to TMX with the
DTT add-in, which creates scripts which are ready
to execute in any of the popular testing tools.
DTT is
a complete, integrated testing framework which provides the
QA specialist with:
- A graphic representation of the functionality to be
tested
- Automated design of all test cases necessary to exercise
that functionality
